About
Iron Ladder is a personal notebook about operating small infrastructure: single-digit numbers of servers, one person on call, and a strong preference for things that are boring to run.
The name comes from the fixed iron ladders on old water towers — unglamorous, bolted on decades ago, and still the safest way up. That is roughly the standard I aim for.
